COMEX to be held in Beijing in 2012

Singapore's biggest IT and consumer technology exhibition is back and expanding to China in 2012 Singapore, 31 August 2011 – COMEX, Singapore’s biggest IT and consumer technology exhibition will be making its debut in Beijing, China, next year. It will be launched by Sphere Exhibits (Beijing) Co Ltd ("Sphere Beijing"), a joint venture between Exhibits Inc Pte Ltd ("Exhibits Inc"), AsiaPac Distribution Pte Ltd (“AsiaPac”) and AKL Beijing Limited (“AKL”). Exhibits Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd ("Sphere"), the events and exhibitions subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH). The electronics industry in China has grown rapidly over the last 20 years since the liberalisation of the economy. Computer related goods including software, communication equipment, electronic devices and household utilitarian and entertainment equipment have become a way of life for Chinese consumers. Leveraging on the potential of the Chinese market and Exhibits Inc’s capabilities in organising computer fairs such as COMEX and the IT Show, Mr Ryan Lee, Managing Director of AsiaPaC, said that the joint venture will definitely bring about a change in consumer retail strategy for the China electronics industry. Meanwhile, the Singapore exhibition will be held from 1 to 4 September 2011 at Suntec Singapore. COMEX 2011 will feature exclusive offers and great bargains from 835 exhibitors with products ranging from digital imaging equipment, gaming accessories, smart phones, e-books to home entertainment and lifestyle electronics.
